I like to prepare it a day ahead of time.
Sprinkle entire roast (generously) with garlic salt and parsly flakes. Cover and refrigerate over night. Preheat oven to 425. Place roast in oven for 15 minutes reduce heat to 350 and cook 15 minutes per pound. |

I've used this a few times, although not for a roast.
Smash a kiwi fruit or two and add to your marinade. This will tenderize your roast. |

Line a pan with aluminum foil, and sprinkle about half of a package of onion soup mix in it. Wash off the roast, trim the excess fat, and pour some vinegar on it. Put in the pan. Sprinkle the remaining onion soup mix and lots of garlic powder on it. In a small bowl, mix a can of cream of mushroom soup with one half cup of boiling water and pour that over the roast. Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Put in on a cookie sheet covered with aluminum foil to prevent spills in the oven. Bake it for three hours at 350 degrees. It will be wonderful!

I have use Reynolds oven bags. You can season the meat any way you want to. I pour a can of beef broth over meat add raw potatoes and carrots. let bake at 350 for 2 to 3 hours depending on size of roast. You can also pressure cook and tough meat and it will be as tender as can be.
